The three beaches at Sheerness, Minster-on-Sea and Leysdown-on-Sea are well maintained and all close by for a traditional Kent coast experience. Swale National Nature Reserve

The reserve is on the banks of the Swale at the eastern end of the Isle of Sheppey. A sandy footpath runs between from the free car parks with another a path running around the full 7 miles of the perimeter which makes for a comfortable walk with little stress.

Blue Town Heritage Centre

Blue Town is a suburb of Sheerness with an interesting and varied history. The centre, built on the site of a Palace of Varieties, a hotel and music hall built in 1868, tells the story of Blue Town from the 17th to the 21st century through its maritime, military and social history.
