York Minster is one of the world's most magnificent cathedrals and is one of the highlights when visiting Yorkshire. Construction started in 1220 and took 250 years to complete.

Castle Howard is one of Britain’s finest historic houses, situated just outside York in the Howardian Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It was built over 300 years ago by Sir John Vanbrugh and today remains home to the Howard family.
The castle has around 1000 acres of parkland filled with lakes, woodlands, temples, statues and formal gardens and you can easily spend a week wandering around the estate taking in the vistas.
There is also a childrens lakeside adventure playground, shops, cafes, farm shop, gift shop and garden centre.
