No trip to the Scottish Highlands is complete without exploring Loch Ness. It's one of the most famous stretches of water in the world due its mythological resident; "Nessie" the Loch Ness Monster. Loch Ness runs for 23 miles from Inverness in the northeast down to Fort William in the southwest.
