Saint Columb Major holiday parks Luxury lodge and static caravan holiday parks in St Columb Major

Saint Columb Major holiday parks - a quaint country village in Cornwall 7 miles southwest of Wadebridge and 6 miles east of Newquay.

On Shrove Tuesday and then again 11 days later, the town plays host to a medieval game called "hurling". It used to be played throughout Cornwall but now only played in St Columb. There are two teams of several hundred people (the 'townsmen' and the 'countrymen') who have to carry a silver ball made of apple wood to goals set two miles apart. So if you are staying on a holiday park at this time of year, it's well worth going along to watch.
